Georgia's Zell Miller Scholarship provides merit-based tuition assistance to exceptionally high-achieving Georgia residents pursuing an undergraduate degree at an eligible public, technical, or private college or university in Georgia.

Eligibility

  • Meet United States citizenship or eligible noncitizen requirements.
  • Meet the applicable Georgia residency requirements.
  • Be enrolled as a degree-seeking student at an eligible Georgia public, technical, or private college or university.
  • Graduate from an eligible high school or accredited home study program with at least a 3.7 calculated HOPE GPA.
  • Earn at least four approved academic rigor credits when required for initial eligibility.
  • Earn at least a 1200 SAT score in one test administration or the current equivalent ACT composite score.
  • Qualifying valedictorians and salutatorians may receive initial eligibility through the applicable alternative pathway.
  • Maintain at least a 3.3 calculated postsecondary HOPE GPA at required eligibility checkpoints.
  • Meet the institution's satisfactory academic progress requirements.
  • Be in good standing on applicable federal and Georgia student loans, grants, and scholarships.
  • Not have exceeded the maximum HOPE program award limits.

Requirements

  • Complete either the FAFSA or the Georgia Student Finance Application.
  • Submit official SAT or ACT scores when required for eligibility verification.
  • Ensure that high school transcript information is submitted for the calculated HOPE GPA.
  • Provide any residency, citizenship, academic, or financial-aid documentation requested.
  • Maintain academic eligibility at each required postsecondary checkpoint.

How to Apply

  2. 2Complete either the FAFSA or Georgia Student Finance Application.
  3. 3Confirm your calculated HOPE GPA through GAfutures.
  4. 4Confirm that GSFC has received your qualifying SAT or ACT score.
  5. 5Enroll in an undergraduate degree program at an eligible Georgia institution.
  6. 6Submit any additional documents requested by your college or GSFC.
  7. 7Monitor your College HOPE Profile for continued eligibility.
