Eligibility

• Enroll during the upcoming academic year as a first- or second-year undergraduate student.
• Attend a public junior college, college, university, vocational school, or technical school in Idaho or Nevada.
• Demonstrate volunteer involvement in at least one activity benefiting the community.
• Demonstrate a meaningful commitment to community service.
• Meet all additional Idaho Community Foundation requirements for the current cycle.

Requirements

• Complete the official scholarship application.
• Submit the most recent unofficial high school or college transcript.
• Submit a written statement between one and three pages.
• Describe educational and career goals.
• Describe extracurricular activities, volunteer service, awards, honors, and leadership positions.
• Describe work experience and whether the applicant plans to work while attending school.
• Explain why the applicant should be selected for the scholarship.
• Submit the first page of the FAFSA Student Aid Report showing the Student Aid Index.
• Combine the application and every supporting document into one PDF attachment.

How to Apply

1. 1Confirm that you will be a first- or second-year undergraduate student at an eligible public institution in Idaho or Nevada.
2. 2Complete the official Idaho Community Foundation application.
3. 3Write the required one-to-three-page statement.
4. 4Gather your most recent unofficial transcript.
5. 5Download the first page of your FAFSA Student Aid Report showing your Student Aid Index.
6. 6Combine the application, transcript, written statement, and FAFSA page into one PDF.
7. 7Email the completed PDF to the Idaho Community Foundation before the published deadline.
