Wright-Hennepin At-Large Scholarship

The Wright-Hennepin At-Large Scholarship supports local high school seniors from Wright-Hennepin member families who are homeschooled, attend online or private schools, or attend eligible schools that do not participate in the cooperative's Local Schools Scholarship program.

Eligibility

  • Be a high school senior living in the local Wright-Hennepin area.
  • Have a parent or guardian who is a Wright-Hennepin member.
  • Be homeschooled, attend online schooling, or attend a high school that does not already receive a Wright-Hennepin Local Schools Scholarship.
  • Students attending one of the public schools participating in the Local Schools Scholarship are not eligible for the At-Large Scholarship.
  • Plan to enroll full-time in an undergraduate program during the next academic year.
  • Attend a two-year or four-year college, university, or vocational-technical school in the United States.

Requirements

  • Complete the At-Large Scholarship application.
  • Submit a current high school transcript.
  • Submit a 150–200 word essay explaining why you should receive a Wright-Hennepin scholarship.
  • Provide the parent's or guardian's Wright-Hennepin electric account number as proof of membership.

How to Apply

  1. 1Confirm that your parent or guardian is a Wright-Hennepin member.
  2. 2Confirm that you are not eligible through one of the participating Local Schools Scholarship high schools.
  3. 3Complete the At-Large application.
  4. 4Submit a current high school transcript.
  5. 5Write the required 150–200 word essay.
  6. 6Provide the qualifying WH electric account number.
  7. 7Submit the completed application to Wright-Hennepin by April 1.
