Eligibility

  • Be a registered high school senior in good standing at a participating high school within a First State Community Bank market.
  • Plan to pursue higher education in a business-related field.
  • Plan to attend an accredited two-year or four-year institution in Missouri if selected.
  • Demonstrate leadership experience and potential.
  • Meet all additional eligibility and selection criteria contained in the current scholarship application.

Requirements

  • Complete the William H. Cooper Leadership Scholarship application.
  • Submit a sealed written letter of recommendation or referral from a teacher, guidance counselor, or school administrator.
  • Provide academic and intended-area-of-study information.
  • Semi-finalists must complete any additional requirements provided by the scholarship selection committee.
  • Finalists must participate in a personal interview.
