Eligibility

  • Be a U.S. citizen.
  • Be a graduating senior from Whitehall High School or a qualifying Whitehall-area homeschool program, OR be a college student pursuing a degree in a horticulture-related field.
  • Graduating seniors may pursue qualifying study through an accredited Montana four-year college, two-year college, technical school, or accredited online or correspondence program.
  • College applicants must be pursuing a horticulture-related degree at an accredited institution.
  • Qualifying horticulture-related fields may include Horticulture, Landscape Design, Floriculture, Greenhouse or Nursery Management, Plant Genetics, Forestry, or another related field.

Requirements

  • Complete the Whitehall Garden Club Scholarship application in full.
  • Submit a copy of the acceptance letter from the college, university, or technical school you plan to attend.
  • Submit one letter of recommendation.
  • If selected, provide the mailing address for the attending school's scholarship or financial-aid department.

How to Apply

  1. 1Confirm that you meet either the Whitehall graduating-senior pathway or the horticulture-college-student pathway.
  2. 2Complete the scholarship application in full.
  3. 3Attach your college or technical-school acceptance letter.
  4. 4Obtain and attach one letter of recommendation.
  5. 5Submit the complete application so it is received by the Whitehall Garden Club by May 5.
  6. 6If selected, provide your school's scholarship or financial-aid department address so the award can be paid directly to the institution.
