Eligibility

  • Be a dependent of a Wheat Belt Public Power District customer.
  • Be enrolled full-time as an undergraduate.
  • Attend an eligible vocational/technical school or lineworker school.
  • Pursue a technical field of study for Wheat Belt scholarship consideration.

Requirements

  • Complete the common Wheat Belt scholarship application.
  • Submit a recent academic transcript.
  • College freshmen must also submit their high school transcript when they do not yet have more than one semester or quarter of college grades.
  • College freshmen must submit ACT and/or SAT scores.
  • Submit the required essay addressing challenges facing rural electric cooperatives and possible solutions.
  • Obtain the required applicant appraisal from an eligible counselor, advisor, instructor, or work supervisor.
