West Central Electric Cooperative Scholarship

Eligibility

• Be a graduating high school senior meeting Missouri DESE graduation requirements.
• Have a parent or legal guardian who is a current West Central Electric Cooperative member.
• Have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0.
• Provide an ACT score or equivalent college entrance examination score.
• Plan to attend a college, university, trade school, or technical school following high school graduation.
• Children and grandchildren of current West Central Electric Cooperative employees and directors are not eligible.
• Four-year recipients of the John and Kathryn English Memorial Scholarship Trust are not eligible for this scholarship.

Requirements

• Complete the West Central Electric Cooperative scholarship application.
• All application information must be typed.
• Submit a high school transcript signed by the high school counselor or, for homeschool applicants, the teacher.
• Provide an ACT score or equivalent college entrance examination score.
• Address financial need and any special circumstances in the required application response.
• Submit a recent photograph for use if selected as a scholarship recipient.

How to Apply

1. 1Confirm that the applicant's parent or legal guardian is a current WCE member.
2. 2Complete the annual scholarship application.
3. 3Obtain a signed high school transcript.
4. 4Provide the required college entrance examination score.
5. 5Complete the financial-need and special-circumstances response.
6. 6Submit the typed application, transcript, photograph, and all supporting materials by the published deadline.
