Eligibility

  • Be a current high school sophomore enrolled in the Los Angeles Unified School District.
  • Be selected as the sole nominee from the student's LAUSD high school.
  • Demonstrate strong academic potential and commitment to completing high school and college.
  • Demonstrate financial need or circumstances that could place the student's education at risk.
  • Show leadership, community involvement, resilience, or a commitment to public service.

Requirements

  • Receive a nomination from an authorized counselor or designated staff member at an LAUSD high school.
  • Complete the invitation-only scholarship application.
  • Submit the required personal narrative or essay responses.
  • Provide academic, honors, activities, and supporting information.
  • Submit all required attachments by the application deadline.
