Spring 2027 new entrants

OpensTo Be Announced
DeadlineNovember 1, 2026

Eligibility

  • Enrolled, verified member of one of Arizona’s 22 federally recognized tribes, classified as Arizona resident for tuition; first bachelor’s degree at UArizona Main Campus. No financial-need requirement.
  • Full-time enrollment of at least 12 UArizona units by the first semester Pell Recalculation Date. Start and remain at Main Campus; Arizona Online and other-campus entrants cannot gain eligibility by later switching to Main Campus.

Requirements

  • Spring 2027 entrants: complete admission and official FAFSA with calculated SAI by November 1, 2026; submit tribal verification by January 20, 2027. No separate ANS form.
  • Renew with annual official FAFSA by April 1, full-time Main Campus enrollment, continuing tribal/residency eligibility and satisfactory academic progress.
  • Maximum eight consecutive fall/spring semesters. Missed eligibility terms and breaks count against that limit. A move off Main Campus permanently ends ANS even if the student returns.
  • ANS cannot combine with Arizona Promise; eligible students receive Promise instead. Tribal scholarships are excluded from the tuition-gap calculation.
  • Beginning Fall 2026 entrants may combine ANS and University Grant; students first receiving ANS in Fall 2025/Spring 2026 or earlier may not. Confirm your cohort with OSFA.

How to Apply

  1. 1Apply to UArizona and file an official FAFSA with a calculated Student Aid Index.
  2. 2Upload tribal enrollment verification through the registrar's Native American Exception process.
  3. 3Confirm full-time main-campus enrollment and review the Spring 2027 deadlines.
