United Credit Union First Time Freshman Scholarship

The United Credit Union First Time Freshman Scholarship supports area graduating high school seniors who are United Credit Union members and plan to continue their education at a school of advanced education. Eight scholarships are awarded annually to students who demonstrate academic achievement, good citizenship, leadership, and active involvement in their schools and communities.

Eligibility

  • Be a graduating high school senior and first-time freshman.
  • Be a member of United Credit Union.
  • Plan to attend a school of advanced education.
  • Have maintained an overall high school GPA of at least 2.75.
  • Demonstrate good citizenship and leadership characteristics.
  • Be active in school and community activities.
  • Meet all additional requirements contained in the current United Credit Union scholarship application.

Requirements

  • Complete the United Credit Union First Time Freshman Scholarship application.
  • Provide information about the institution the applicant plans to attend.
  • Provide the applicant's planned field of study.
  • Submit a copy of the applicant's high school transcript.
  • Submit the applicant's ACT score.
  • Provide all additional information required by the current scholarship application.

How to Apply

  1. 1Confirm that the applicant is an eligible United Credit Union member.
  2. 2Complete the annual First Time Freshman Scholarship application.
  3. 3Provide information about the applicant's planned postsecondary institution and field of study.
  4. 4Attach a copy of the applicant's high school transcript and ACT score.
  5. 5Submit the completed application and required materials by the published deadline.
  6. 6Applications may be emailed to United Credit Union's Marketing Department or mailed according to the instructions in the current application.
