UMKC Banking Leaders of Tomorrow Scholarship

Eligibility

• Be a resident of Missouri or Kansas.
• Be a first-time college student; transfer students are not eligible for the Banking Leaders of Tomorrow program.
• Have a high school core GPA of at least 3.0.
• Be first-generation and/or from a low-income community within the Kansas City Metropolitan Statistical Area.
• Be admitted to the University of Missouri-Kansas City Bachelor of Business Administration program.
• Intend to pursue the Banking and Financial Services interest area.
• Intend to pursue selection into the Bloch Launchpad program.

Requirements

• Apply to UMKC and gain admission to the Bachelor of Business Administration program.
• Complete the Bloch Launchpad application.
• Indicate interest in Banking Leaders of Tomorrow within the Bloch Launchpad application.
• Submit the required Banking Leaders of Tomorrow short essay of no more than 500 words.
• Maintain all annual academic and program-participation requirements to continue receiving scholarship funding.

How to Apply

1. 1Apply to UMKC and gain admission to the Bachelor of Business Administration program.
2. 2Log in to the UMKC applicant status page.
3. 3Open the Additional Opportunities section.
4. 4Complete the Bloch Launchpad application.
5. 5Select Yes when asked whether you are interested in Banking Leaders of Tomorrow.
6. 6Submit a response of 500 words or fewer explaining what excites you about a career in financial services and how your experiences have prepared you to build banking relationships with individuals and businesses in low-income areas.
7. 7If selected, participate in Bloch Launchpad and Banking Leaders of Tomorrow academic, mentoring, and professional-development activities.
