Eligibility

• Be a United Financial Credit Union member in good standing.
• Be accepted to an accredited trade, craft, vocational, or certification program.
• Plan to pursue vocational training, skilled trades education, or professional certification.
• Submit all required application materials by the annual deadline.

Requirements

• Complete the UFirst Foundation scholarship application.
• Submit a 200-1,000 word essay on the topic People Helping People.
• Explain how the applicant is currently making or plans to make a positive impact in their community.
• Submit enrollment or acceptance verification for the applicable trade, craft, vocational, or certification program.

How to Apply

1. 1Confirm United Financial Credit Union membership is in good standing.
2. 2Apply to and receive acceptance from an accredited trade, craft, vocational, or certification program.
3. 3Complete the UFirst Foundation Skilled Trades Scholarship application.
4. 4Write the required 200-1,000 word People Helping People essay.
5. 5Gather enrollment or acceptance verification for the selected program.
6. 6Submit the completed application and supporting materials online, by email, by mail, or at a United Financial Credit Union location according to current instructions.
7. 7Ensure the application is submitted, emailed, or postmarked by the published deadline.
