Eligibility

  • Be a first- or second-year graduate student enrolled in a CAATE-approved professional athletic training degree program.
  • Be preparing to graduate and sit for the BOC exam during the applicable academic period.
  • Intend to pursue athletic training professionally.
  • Have at least a 3.0 cumulative GPA.
  • Be a MATA member in good standing.

Requirements

  • Complete the TRIA Orthopedics Professional Scholarship application.
  • Submit a typed one-page essay about interest in athletic training and professional goals.
  • Submit one recommendation letter from a sponsoring athletic trainer.
  • Submit current undergraduate and/or graduate athletic training transcripts.
  • Provide information about athletic training experience, conferences, organizations, activities, and awards.
