Thomas Jennings Memorial Scholarship

Eligibility

• Be a Genesee County Farm Bureau member, or qualify through a parent whose Farm Bureau membership may be used.
• Pursue a degree related to agriculture.
• Have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.

Requirements

• Complete the Genesee County Farm Bureau scholarship application.
• Provide the applicable Farm Bureau membership number.
• Submit a copy of the most current school transcript reflecting GPA.
• Provide a brief description of the applicant's academic major.
• Submit responses to both required agricultural essay questions.

How to Apply

1. 1Confirm qualifying Farm Bureau membership. If a parent is a member, that membership may be used.
2. 2Complete the Genesee County Farm Bureau scholarship application.
3. 3Provide current GPA and academic-major information.
4. 4Attach the most current school transcript.
5. 5Prepare well-developed, research-based responses to both annual agriculture essay prompts.
6. 6Submit the completed application, transcript, and both essays by mail or email so they are received by April 1, 2026.
7. 7Scholarship recipients are selected by committee and announced after review.
8. 8If selected, scholarship funds are sent directly to the student's school.
