TheDream.US National Scholarship supports highly motivated first-generation immigrant students who are undocumented, with or without DACA or TPS, and who have significant unmet financial need. The renewable award helps cover tuition and fees at participating Partner Colleges and also includes support for books, supplies, and transportation.

Eligibility

  • Be a first-generation immigrant student who is currently undocumented, with or without DACA or TPS.
  • Have entered the United States before age 16.
  • Have entered the United States before November 1, 2020.
  • Have continuously lived in the United States since entering.
  • Have significant unmet financial need.
  • Not be receiving or eligible to receive the Federal Pell Grant.
  • Have graduated or expect to graduate from a United States high school, or earn a high school equivalency diploma, before beginning the applicable scholarship term.
  • Have at least a 2.5 high school GPA on a 4.0 scale.
  • Have at least a 2.5 cumulative college GPA if college credits were earned after high school.
  • Plan to enroll full time in an associate or bachelor's degree program at an eligible TheDream.US Partner College.
  • Be eligible for in-state tuition at the selected Partner College unless an exception applies for a private, online, or Texas Partner College.

  • Complete the online scholarship application.
  • Submit the required written responses or essays.
  • Provide high school and college academic records, when applicable.
  • Provide financial and household information.
  • Select an eligible TheDream.US Partner College.
  • Complete any additional verification requested during the selection process.
