The SWE-Detroit Advance, Aspire, Achieve Awards recognize Michigan high school freshmen, sophomores, and juniors who inspire other girls to pursue STEM. The program celebrates younger students who already demonstrate enthusiasm for science, technology, engineering, and mathematics and plan to pursue STEM careers.

Eligibility

  • Be in the State of Michigan.
  • Be a high school freshman, sophomore, or junior.
  • Plan to pursue a STEM career.
  • Be a woman or another underrepresented gender in engineering and technology.
  • Demonstrate the ability to inspire other girls to pursue STEM.

Requirements

  • Complete the SWE-Detroit Advance, Aspire, Achieve Award application.
  • Provide the information requested by SWE-Detroit regarding STEM interests, activities, and career plans.
  • Meet the grade-level and STEM-career requirements for the applicable award.
