Eligibility

  • Be a Haitian American student living in Connecticut.
  • Be Haitian-born or have at least one Haitian parent.
  • Be graduating from high school or completing an equivalent credential.
  • Have a cumulative GPA of at least 2.5.
  • Be enrolled or scheduled to enroll in an approved two-year college, four-year college, university, vocational school, or technical institution.
  • Reside in Greater Fairfield County or a surrounding Connecticut community served by the program.

Requirements

  • Complete the Spirit of Giving Scholarship application.
  • Respond to one of the published essay topics.
  • Submit an original essay between 500 and 750 words.
  • Provide the academic and enrollment information requested in the application.
