Smith Scholarship Foundation Scholarship

Eligibility

• Be a graduating Alabama high school senior, including an eligible homeschooled student.
• Be a United States citizen.
• Plan to attend a qualified four-year college or university in Alabama.
• Have at least a C+ academic average, generally represented as a minimum 2.5 GPA.
• Demonstrate financial need.
• Show meaningful community service, civic involvement, or substantial assistance and responsibility within the applicant's family.
• Demonstrate perseverance through financial, physical, family, or other significant obstacles.
• Meet all additional requirements published for the current application cycle.

Requirements

• Complete the Smith Scholarship Foundation application.
• Submit the required essays or written responses.
• Provide an academic transcript.
• Provide financial and household information.
• Submit recommendation letters or references.
• Provide information documenting community service, family responsibilities, employment, leadership, and obstacles overcome.
• Complete the FAFSA when required for financial-need review.
• Provide standardized test scores if requested for the current cycle.
