The SME Education Foundation Scholarship Program provides more than 60 scholarship opportunities for graduating high school seniors and current college students pursuing technical fields that directly support manufacturing. Scholarships support associate, bachelor's, and graduate-level study in manufacturing, engineering, technology, and closely related disciplines. A single application automatically considers students for every SME Education Foundation scholarship for which they are eligible.

Eligibility
- Be a graduating high school senior or current college student.
- Be pursuing an associate, bachelor's, or graduate degree in a technical field that directly supports manufacturing.
- Maintain a minimum 2.0 GPA for the general scholarship program.
- Attend an accredited college or university in the United States or Canada.
- Be a U.S. or Canadian citizen or permanent resident, or possess an eligible student visa.
- Be enrolled as either a full-time or part-time student.
- Meet the additional eligibility requirements of individual SME Education Foundation scholarships.
Requirements
- Complete the SME Education Foundation scholarship application.
- Answer the required short-answer questions regarding educational and career objectives, motivation for pursuing manufacturing, and how scholarship support would advance career goals.
- Submit required academic transcripts.
- Submit a list of completed STEM courses.
- Provide two references for letters of recommendation, including at least one faculty member.
- Submit a FAFSA Submission Summary when required for consideration for need-based scholarships.
How to Apply
