SEIU Got Your Back Scholarship

The Got Your Back Scholarship supports younger members of SEIU Healthcare Minnesota & Iowa who are continuing their education. Two $1,000 scholarships are awarded during each of the union's two annual scholarship cycles.

Eligibility

  • Be age 30 or younger at the time of application.
  • Be an SEIU Healthcare Minnesota & Iowa member in good standing at the time of the scholarship drawing.
  • Use the scholarship at an accredited postsecondary institution.
  • Submit only one scholarship application per person.
  • Not receive multiple SEIU Healthcare Minnesota & Iowa scholarship awards during the same year.
  • Officers, Executive Board members, and staff of SEIU Healthcare Minnesota & Iowa are not eligible.

Requirements

  • Complete the online scholarship application.
  • Submit a minimum 500-word essay addressing the current Got Your Back Scholarship prompt.

How to Apply

  1. 1Confirm that you are age 30 or younger.
  2. 2Confirm that your SEIU Healthcare Minnesota & Iowa membership is in good standing.
  3. 3Complete the online scholarship application.
  4. 4Write the required essay of at least 500 words.
  5. 5Submit by July 31 or December 31.
