SECU MD Foundation Scholarship

Eligibility

• Be a Maryland resident.
• Be a SECU member in good standing.
• Be a current Maryland community college student transferring to a Maryland four-year public college or university, or have completed that transfer within the previous 18 months.
• Attend a Maryland four-year public college or university during the 2026–2027 academic year.
• Not have accepted a SECU MD Foundation scholarship within the previous 10 years.
• Not be a SECU or SECU MD Foundation employee, director, or volunteer.
• Not be an immediate family member, relative, or dependent of an excluded SECU or SECU MD Foundation employee, director, or volunteer as defined by the Foundation.

Requirements

• Complete the SECU MD Foundation scholarship application.
• Maintain SECU membership in good standing.
• Submit the required 500–750 word essay responding to the Foundation's annual prompt.
• Provide all information and documentation requested through the scholarship application.
• Meet the Maryland community college transfer and four-year public institution requirements.

4. 4Complete the scholarship application.

7. 7Monitor communications from the Foundation for an award decision; applicants are generally notified by mid-June.
