SEAMi College Scholarship Program

Offered by Structural Engineers Association of Michigan

The Structural Engineers Association of Michigan (SEAMi) College Scholarship Program supports undergraduate and graduate students pursuing structural engineering education at ABET-accredited Michigan colleges and universities. Separate undergraduate and graduate awards are available, with recipients selected based on academic performance, future goals and aspirations, and current and past activities.

Eligibility

  • Attend or plan to attend an ABET-accredited Michigan college or university.
  • Michigan residency is not required.
  • Undergraduate applicants must be current Civil Engineering students focusing in Structural Engineering.
  • Graduate applicants must be current or future Structural Engineering students.
  • Graduate applicants may be pursuing master's or doctoral-level study.
  • Meet the requirements of either the undergraduate or graduate SEAMi scholarship application.

Requirements

  • Complete the applicable SEAMi Undergraduate or Graduate Scholarship Application.
  • Submit full academic transcripts.
  • Provide information used to evaluate academic performance.
  • Provide information about future goals and aspirations.
  • Provide information about current and past activities.

How to Apply

  1. 1Determine whether you qualify for the undergraduate or graduate SEAMi scholarship.
  2. 2Confirm that your Michigan college or university and engineering program meet the applicable ABET accreditation requirement.
  3. 3Download the appropriate undergraduate or graduate scholarship application from SEAMi.
  4. 4Complete all required application sections.
  5. 5Gather full academic transcripts.
  6. 6Provide information about academic performance, future goals and aspirations, and current and past activities.
  7. 7Submit the completed application and transcripts to the mailing or email address listed on the current application.
  8. 8Submit all materials by the published annual deadline.
  9. 9Scholarship recipients are notified by written letter.
  10. 10Recipients are invited and encouraged to attend the SEAMi Statewide Conference.
