Saginaw Community Foundation Scholarships

Eligibility

• Meet the eligibility requirements for at least one scholarship administered by the Saginaw Community Foundation.
• Eligibility varies by scholarship and may include requirements related to residence, school attendance, graduation status, field of study, career goals, GPA, financial need, community involvement, extracurricular activities, memberships, employment, or other donor-established criteria.
• High school seniors, undergraduate students, graduate students, nontraditional students, and Career and Technical Education students may qualify for different scholarship opportunities.
• Immediate family members of Saginaw Community Foundation staff are not eligible for Foundation scholarships.
• Immediate family members of a donor or fund representative are not eligible for that specific scholarship fund but may still qualify for other Foundation scholarships.

Requirements

• Complete the Saginaw Community Foundation online scholarship application.
• Provide the full name and email address of an unrelated reference.
• Submit the applicant's most recent school transcript.
• Complete the required scholarship essay questionnaire.
• Complete financial information when applying for scholarships that consider financial need.
• Provide any special attachments, membership verification, or other documentation required by individual scholarship funds.
• Complete all required application questions before submitting.

How to Apply

1. 1Review the Saginaw Community Foundation scholarship directory and application guidance before beginning.
2. 2Create or log in to the Foundation's online scholarship application system.
3. 3Complete the applicant profile and provide academic, employment, extracurricular, volunteer, leadership, awards, and community involvement information.
4. 4Provide the name and email address of an unrelated reference who can discuss your academics, accomplishments, or character.
5. 5Upload the most recent high school or college transcript. Official paid transcripts are not required for the initial application.
6. 6Complete the scholarship essay questionnaire, which includes seven questions about educational goals, career plans, and experiences at school, in the community, or at home.
7. 7Complete the financial questionnaire when seeking scholarships that consider financial need.
8. 8Upload any special documentation required for scholarships involving memberships, participation, organizations, fields of study, or other specific criteria.
9. 9Review the application carefully and submit it online by February 12, 2027.
10. 10Watch for scholarship notifications from the Foundation in mid-May.
