Roberta Casteel Capps American History Scholarship

Eligibility

• Be a United States citizen.
• Be a Missouri resident.
• Be a high school senior, college freshman, college sophomore, or college junior.
• Plan a concentrated study totaling at least 24 credit hours in American History and Government while in college.
• Recipients may attend the university or college of their choice and are not restricted to Missouri institutions.

Requirements

• Complete the MSSDAR scholarship application.
• Submit the required career-objectives statement.
• Submit applicable academic transcripts.
• Submit the required recommendation letters and supporting materials.
• Submit proof of United States citizenship.
• Complete all scholarship-specific documentation required for the American History and Government concentration.

How to Apply

1. 1Complete a separate MSSDAR application packet for the Roberta Casteel Capps American History Scholarship.
2. 2Document the planned or current concentration in American History and Government.
3. 3Gather the required academic and supporting documentation.
4. 4Submit the complete packet to the MSSDAR State Scholarship Chair by the published postmark deadline.
