The Robert C. Weaver Memorial Scholarship assists students pursuing vocational, academic, undergraduate, or postgraduate education. Preference may be given to nontraditional students and applicants who live in Buhl or graduated from a Buhl-area school.

Eligibility

  • Plan to pursue vocational, academic, undergraduate, or postgraduate education.
  • Attend or plan to attend an eligible educational institution.
  • Provide verification of enrollment before scholarship funds are disbursed.
  • Nontraditional students may receive preference.
  • Residents of Buhl and graduates of Buhl-area schools may receive preference.
  • Meet all additional Idaho Community Foundation requirements for the current cycle.

Requirements

  • Complete and sign the official scholarship application.
  • Submit a one-page personal statement.
  • Describe any personal or family circumstances that affected school, community activities, volunteerism, work experience, or academic achievement.
  • Provide information about honors, awards, activities, volunteer service, leadership, employment, career goals, and educational plans.
  • Submit two one-page letters of recommendation.
  • One recommendation should come from a community leader.
  • One recommendation should come from a school official.
  • Combine the typed application and all supporting materials into one PDF.

  4. 4Gather information about your education, employment, leadership, volunteerism, financial aid, and career plans.

  7. 7Email the completed PDF to the Idaho Community Foundation before March 15.
