The Richard Guidry Cajun and Creole Language Fund supports projects that encourage, increase, and improve the use of Louisiana French, including Cajun and Creole French, in education, the arts, research, media, and public life. Eligibility

  • Be a U.S. citizen and current resident of Louisiana.
  • Submit a project that substantially incorporates the French language.
  • Demonstrate how the project benefits Louisiana's Francophone community and promotes the growth of French in Louisiana.
  • Complete the application primarily in French at your level of proficiency.

Requirements

  • Complete the Community Foundation of Acadiana application.
  • Submit a project budget.
  • Submit a letter of motivation in both English and French.
  • Submit two letters of support.
  • Submit résumés for key project participants in both English and French.
