Rhodes Scholarship

Eligibility

• Be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, or qualifying active DACA recipient.
• Meet the Rhodes Scholarship's current age requirements.
• Complete an undergraduate degree by July 2027.
• Meet or exceed the entry requirements for the selected full-time postgraduate course at the University of Oxford.
• Receive institutional endorsement from the applicant's college or university.

Requirements

• Complete the official Rhodes Scholarship application.
• Receive institutional endorsement.
• Submit academic records and required personal information.
• Prepare the required personal and academic statements.
• Obtain the required referee letters.
• Meet all Oxford course and constituency-specific requirements.
• Participate in district interviews if selected as a finalist.

How to Apply

1. 1Review the U.S. eligibility requirements and complete the official eligibility checker.
2. 2Contact the Rhodes representative at your institution immediately.
3. 3Complete any internal campus endorsement process and earlier institutional deadline.
4. 4Select an eligible full-time postgraduate course at the University of Oxford.
5. 5Complete the application and register all referees and endorsers early.
6. 6Submit the complete application by October 7, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time.
7. 7If selected as a finalist, attend the assigned district reception and interview in November.
