Eligibility

  • Be a Michigan resident.
  • Be enrolled or enrolling in higher education or trade school.
  • Intend to pursue a career in the marine industry.
  • The applicant's career does not have to be limited to a traditional marine trade as long as they intend to apply their education and skills within the marine industry.

Requirements

  • Complete the RBIEF Traditional Education Scholarship application.
  • Submit a transcript from your most recent educational institution.
  • Submit a typed essay of approximately 500 words.
  • Describe your experience with and interest in the marine industry.
  • Explain your goals, aspirations, and desired career path.
  • Explain how you see yourself becoming a valued advocate for the marine industry.
