Eligibility

  • Currently live in Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Oregon or Washington, OR have lived in one of these states for at least one year within the past five years; study may take place elsewhere.
  • Pursue accredited postsecondary education during 2027–28, including certificates, trades, community college, university or graduate/professional education.
  • Program prioritizes LGBTQ+ students facing barriers. Its FAQ also allows children of LGBTQ+ families and straight allies with a strong history of supporting LGBTQ+ people; fund-specific criteria apply.

Requirements

  • Submit by January 8, 2027 at 4 p.m. Alaska / 5 p.m. Pacific Standard / 6 p.m. Mountain Standard time; late submissions are not accepted.
  • Complete one application and essays for matching funds. Transcripts are optional; review the current form for other requested information.
  • No age limit or citizenship requirement. Past recipients may reapply annually; repeat awards are not guaranteed renewal.
