Phil Young Scholarship
Offered by Twin Valleys Public Power District
An annual $3,000 scholarship for an eligible Twin Valleys Public Power District service-area student entering the two-year Utility Line Program at Northeast Community College in Norfolk. The recipient also has the opportunity to complete a paid summer internship with Twin Valleys between the first and second years of the program.

Eligibility
- Be a high school senior or high school graduate.
- Reside within the area generally served by Twin Valleys Public Power District.
- Eligible territory includes Furnas and Harlan counties and portions of Frontier, Gosper, Phelps, and Red Willow counties, along with other specifically identified Twin Valleys service areas.
- Have applied to the Utility Line Program at Northeast Community College in Norfolk.
- Be accepted into the Utility Line Program or placed on its waiting list.
Requirements
- Complete the Phil Young Scholarship application.
- Submit a personal essay of no more than 350 words explaining interest in the Utility Line Program.
- Provide high school class rank and GPA.
- Applicants who attended college after high school graduation must provide college transcripts.
