Eligibility

  • Attend or plan to continue attending Prince George's Community College.
  • Meet the eligibility requirements of one or more individual PGCC Foundation or institutional scholarships.
  • Individual scholarships may be available to full-time students, part-time students, or both.
  • Some scholarships are based on academic merit.
  • Some scholarships are based on demonstrated financial need.
  • Some scholarships require enrollment in a specific academic or career pathway.
  • Meet any additional requirements established by the individual scholarship fund.

Requirements

  • Complete the PGCC online general scholarship application.
  • Provide requested academic honors, awards, extracurricular activities, and community-service information.
  • Review individual scholarship requirements carefully.
  • Submit an essay when required by a specific scholarship.
  • Submit recommendation letters when required by a specific scholarship.
  • Submit all required materials through AcademicWorks unless the scholarship is identified as a Special Scholarship Program.
  • Recipients must provide a thank-you note to the applicable scholarship donor.

  2. 2Complete the general scholarship application.
  3. 3Provide academic honors, awards, activities, and community-service information.
  4. 4Review the scholarships for which the system identifies you as a potential match.
  5. 5Complete any additional scholarship-specific questions, essays, or document uploads.
  6. 6Submit all required materials by the annual deadline.
  7. 7If awarded, complete donor acknowledgment and any additional recipient requirements.
