Eligibility

  • Be a student within Owatonna Public Utilities' service territory.
  • Plan to attend a higher-education institution for the first time.
  • Pursue a degree, diploma, or certificate.
  • Students who participated in PSEO while in high school remain eligible.
  • The scholarship award cannot exceed the cost of the educational program.

Requirements

  • Complete the OPU/SMMPA Utility Trade Scholarship application.
  • Meet the Owatonna Public Utilities service-territory requirement.
  • Plan to begin qualifying postsecondary education for the first time.
  • Participate in a live interview if selected as a finalist.

How to Apply

  2. 2Confirm that this will be your first time attending a higher-education institution, excluding qualifying PSEO participation.
  3. 3Complete the scholarship application.
  4. 4Submit the application in person or by mail to Owatonna Public Utilities by the published deadline.
  5. 5If selected as a finalist, participate in the required live interview.
