Okhíčhaŋye Scholarship

Eligibility

• Be a Native American high school senior graduating during the applicable scholarship year.
• Plan to attend postsecondary education during the following fall.
• Pursue a degree or educational pathway that can be used within the agriculture industry.
• Provide Tribal citizenship documentation or qualifying proof of descendancy from a federally recognized or state-recognized American Indian Tribe, Alaska Native Village, or qualifying Native Hawaiian or Pacific Islander community.
• Demonstrate commitment to the Native agriculture community.

Requirements

• Complete the Okhíčhaŋye Scholarship application.
• Complete the required essay questions.
• Submit two letters of recommendation.
• Submit proof of Tribal citizenship or qualifying descendancy.
• Submit an official or unofficial high school transcript.
• Submit an official acceptance letter from the college, technical school, veterinary school, or other qualifying institution.

3. 3Answer all required essay questions.
4. 4Request two recommendation letters.
5. 5Gather Tribal citizenship or descendancy documentation.
6. 6Obtain a high school transcript.
7. 7Provide the official acceptance letter from the qualifying postsecondary institution.
8. 8Submit the complete application online, by email, or according to Akiptan's current submission instructions.
