Eligibility

  • Be a Maryland resident.
  • Be enrolled in an accredited Maryland nursing education program.
  • Maintain an overall GPA of at least 3.0.
  • Demonstrate commitment to and potential for leadership in nursing.
  • Associate Degree Nursing students may qualify for designated NFM scholarship opportunities.
  • Baccalaureate and graduate nursing students may qualify for designated awards.
  • Maryland-licensed RNs continuing their education through an RN-to-BSN program may qualify for designated awards.
  • Students pursuing advanced degrees in nursing education, including current nursing faculty seeking higher education credentials, may qualify for designated awards.
  • If already a Registered Nurse, meet the applicable Maryland Nurses Association membership requirement.
  • Have not previously received a Nursing Foundation of Maryland scholarship.

Requirements

  • Complete the Nursing Foundation of Maryland scholarship application process.
  • Submit the required letter of application.
  • Provide at least two letters of reference.
  • At least one reference must come from a current nursing faculty member.
  • Demonstrate academic achievement, leadership, and community service.
  • Submit all required materials by the applicable scholarship deadline.
