Eligibility

  • Be a U.S. citizen, U.S. national, or lawful permanent resident.
  • Be accepted to or enrolled in an eligible nursing degree program at an accredited U.S. school of nursing.
  • Begin classes by the deadline established for the applicable scholarship year.
  • Not have a federal judgment lien.
  • Not have an existing conflicting service commitment.
  • Not be delinquent on qualifying federal debt.
  • Agree to fulfill the Nurse Corps service obligation after completing nursing education.

Requirements

  • Complete the Nurse Corps Scholarship Program application through My BHW.
  • Submit all required eligibility and supporting documentation.
  • If selected, sign a scholarship contract committing to Nurse Corps service.
  • Maintain program eligibility and acceptable academic standing while receiving support.
