Eligibility

  • Be an eligible U.S. Armed Forces veteran awarded the Purple Heart, or a qualifying child of that veteran.
  • Enroll in a certificate, associate, bachelor's, master's, or professional-degree program.
  • For a qualifying child, have graduated from a Nevada high school and have a veteran parent who is currently, or was at death, a Nevada resident.
  • Use all available federal tuition assistance before the state waiver.

Requirements

  • Complete the NSHE Purple Heart Fee Waiver form.
  • Provide Purple Heart, military-service, relationship, residency, and enrollment records requested by the institution.
