Eligibility

  • Be a U.S. citizen.
  • Have graduated from high school within the past two years.
  • Have a cumulative high school GPA of at least 2.50.
  • Have a parent or guardian who lives within Norris Public Power District's six-county service territory boundaries.
  • Be accepted as a first-year student into the Utility Line Program at Northeast Community College, Metropolitan Community College, or Southeast Community College.

Requirements

  • Complete the Norris PPD Electric Lineman Training Scholarship application.
  • Meet the 2.50 minimum cumulative high school GPA requirement.
  • Be accepted into an approved Utility Line Program.
  • Submit the completed application to Norris PPD by the published deadline.

How to Apply

  1. 1Apply for admission to an approved Utility Line Program as early as possible because enrollment is limited and acceptance timing matters.
  2. 2Complete the Norris PPD scholarship application.
  3. 3Return the completed application to Norris Public Power District by January 1, 2027.
