Nitsch Engineering–Judith Nitsch Scholarship

The Nitsch Engineering–Judith Nitsch Scholarship supports women, non-binary students, and students of color pursuing ABET-accredited bachelor's degrees in engineering or land surveying. The scholarship is administered through the ACEC/MA Education Corporation scholarship program and gives preference to applicants who demonstrate financial need.

Eligibility
- Be a U.S. citizen.
- Identify as a woman, non-binary person, and/or person of color, including Black, Indigenous, Hispanic or Latinx, or Asian applicants under the scholarship's published criteria.
- Be pursuing an engineering or land surveying degree through an ABET-accredited bachelor's degree program.
- Be entering the junior through senior year of undergraduate study.
- Have an intended or declared major in engineering or land surveying.
- Be a Massachusetts resident or attend a Massachusetts college or university under the ACEC/MA scholarship eligibility rules.
- Applicants demonstrating financial need receive preference.
Requirements
- Complete the ACEC Research Institute Scholarship Portal general application.
- Complete all required ACEC scholarship essays.
- Complete the additional Judith Nitsch Scholarship financial-impact essay.
- Upload a current college or university transcript.
- Request the required ACEC Research Institute Scholarship Recommendation Form through the portal.
- Obtain a recommendation from a consulting engineer, land surveyor, or engineering professor.
- Submit all additional scholarship-specific questions and documentation.
How to Apply

- 2Complete the General Application.
- 3Confirm that the portal identifies you as eligible for the Judith Nitsch Scholarship.
- 4Complete the required general essays.
- 5Write the additional essay explaining how you are financing your education and how ACEC/MA financial assistance would affect you now and in the future.
- 6Upload your current college transcript.
- 7Request your required recommendation through the portal.
- 8Confirm that your recommender completes the online recommendation.
- 9Submit the application by the announced deadline.
