An annual scholarship program for eligible Niobrara Valley Electric Membership Corporation members or their immediate family members pursuing postsecondary education. Eligibility

  • The student or the student's parents must be members of Niobrara Valley Electric Membership Corporation and contributors to the Goodwill Fund.
  • Reside within the Niobrara Valley Electric Membership Corporation service territory.
  • Attend or graduate from Boyd County High School, Chambers High School, Niobrara High School, O'Neill Public High School, St. Mary's High School, Stuart High School, or West Holt High School.
  • Be a high school graduate.
  • Rank in the upper two-thirds of the graduating class or have at least a 2.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale at the end of the seventh high school semester or most recent postsecondary semester.
  • Attend an accredited college, community college, or vocational school during the applicable next academic term.

  • Complete the Niobrara Valley Electric Goodwill Fund scholarship application.
  • Meet the membership and Goodwill Fund contributor requirements.
  • Meet the academic eligibility requirement.
  • Submit the application to the school guidance counselor or Niobrara Valley Electric Membership Corporation by the published deadline.

How to Apply

  1. 1Obtain the scholarship application from Niobrara Valley Electric, a participating high school, or the cooperative's website.
  2. 2Complete all required application information.
  3. 3Return the application to the school guidance counselor or Niobrara Valley Electric office by March 8.
  4. 4If selected, scholarship payment is issued directly to the recipient's postsecondary institution at the beginning of the applicable term.
