Eligibility

  • Be admitted to an undergraduate or graduate program at a nationally or regionally accredited two-year or four-year college or university; or
  • Be admitted to or currently enrolled in an accredited trade school.
  • Have graduated or be on track to graduate from high school with at least a 2.5 GPA or equivalent.
  • Full-time college students must have maintained at least a 2.5 GPA or equivalent during the academic year immediately preceding the year for which the scholarship is requested.
  • Be an NGAMS Active or Digital Lifetime Member or the dependent of an NGAMS Active or Digital Lifetime Member.
  • Have received no more than one previous NGAMS scholarship, because applicants may receive a maximum of two awards during their lifetime.

Requirements

  • Complete the online NGAMS scholarship application.
  • Submit an official transcript from the applicable high school, college, university, and/or technical school.
  • Submit at least one letter of recommendation from a teacher, professor, or school instructor; applicants may submit up to three.
  • Submit a FAFSA Student Aid Report or a one-page financial-needs statement explaining financial circumstances.
  • Ensure that the application and all supporting materials are received by the published deadline.

How to Apply

  1. 1Confirm NGAMS membership or dependent eligibility.
  2. 2Complete the online NGAMS scholarship application during the annual application period.
  3. 3Request an official academic transcript.
  4. 4Obtain at least one academic recommendation letter.
  5. 5Prepare either your FAFSA Student Aid Report or the permitted one-page financial-needs statement.
  6. 6Submit the online application and all required supporting documents by the scholarship deadline.
  7. 7Confirm that all supporting documents were properly received because NGAMS states that incomplete applications will not be processed.
