Eligibility

  • Be an established Nebraska Energy Federal Credit Union member.
  • Have the qualifying account in the applicant's own name and Social Security number.
  • Be a member in good standing.
  • Plan to attend or currently attend an accredited Lineman or Wind & Solar school in Nebraska.
  • Maintain a C average or higher.
  • Not have previously received an NEFCU scholarship.
  • Not be an immediate family member of NEFCU staff or volunteers.

Requirements

  • Complete and sign the official scholarship application.
  • Provide an official transcript reflecting a C average or higher.
  • Submit a typed personal essay of no more than 600 words.
  • Provide extracurricular-activity and employment information.
  • Provide personal-achievement information.
  • Provide educational and career goals.
