Eligibility

  • Be a senior attending an accredited Nebraska high school.
  • Be the child, stepchild, or grandchild of a current Nebraska county official or employee.
  • Plan to attend a post-high-school educational institution in Nebraska.
  • Meet all current NACO scholarship requirements.

Requirements

  • Complete and sign the NACO scholarship application.
  • Submit a seven-semester high school transcript.
  • Submit an essay of no more than 250 words on the importance of county government in Nebraska.
  • Submit an essay of no more than 250 words explaining career plans and future goals.
  • Submit two personal reference letters from non-family members.
  • Submit the application by the published postmark deadline.
