Eligibility

  • Published scope begins with Bismarck/Mandan Guard and Reserve families. Priority order: active duty from August 2, 1990 to the ceasefire, especially Middle East service; spouses/children of Middle East personnel; personnel active elsewhere; then their spouses/children.
  • Only when those guidelines yield no eligible applicants may other active ND Guard/Reserve members or dependents receive awards, with Bismarck/Mandan priority.
  • Use funds for tuition at an ND institution or an institution in a state with ND tuition reciprocity. Intended full-time study, financial need and academic ability are considered.

Requirements

  • Published annual window: January 1–April 1. No dated next cycle is confirmed.
  • Confirm the fund-specific supporting-document requirements with NDCF.
