Eligibility

  • Currently a high school junior in Durham, Franklin, Granville, Johnston, Nash, Vance or Wake County; a Wake-served household is not required.
  • Complete the June 17–23, 2027 Youth Tour to qualify for the later college award.
  • Provide enrollment proof the following year at a North Carolina college/university, community college, vocational or technical school.

Requirements

  • Obtain the current 2027 Youth Tour application and follow its instructions; complete packet requirements need sponsor confirmation.
  • Provide proof of qualifying enrollment for payment of the later scholarship.

How to Apply

  2. 2Ensure the application is received in the office by 5 p.m. December 15, 2026; an earlier postmark does not satisfy receipt.
  3. 3Notification is expected mid-January 2027; attend the trip and later submit enrollment proof.
