Eligibility

  • Be a child of a Union Power member OR live in a home served by Union Power.
  • Be a current graduating high-school senior planning to attend an accredited North Carolina college or university.
  • Children of Union Power employees are ineligible.
  • Selection weighting: financial need 40%, academics 30%, extracurricular/civic/community activities 30%.

Requirements

  • Complete the cooperative's scholarship application when the next window opens.
  • Provide requested academic, financial and household-service evidence; use awarded funds in the first college year.

How to Apply

  1. 1Sponsor says applications reopen December 1, with final deadline March 1, 2027.
  2. 2Submit before the close; an independent committee selects winners.
