Eligibility

  • Apply for admission to, or already attend, Catawba Valley Community College.
  • Identify your Shuford Credit Union account or a family member's membership and your relationship on the form.
  • New and current CVCC students may apply; the form includes both full-time and part-time options.
  • Provide requested high school and/or CVCC academic information; no numerical GPA cutoff appears in the packet.

Requirements

  • Submit the signed 2026 application and supporting materials by May 31, 2026.
  • Attach academic transcripts; prospective 2026 high school graduates provide a current high school transcript.
  • New students agree to apply or have applied for CVCC admission; current students need not reapply for admission.
  • Attach an essay of no more than 400 words describing career and/or educational goals.
  • Applicants under 18 need a parent or legal guardian signature.
