Eligibility
- Newly admitted undergraduate first-year/transfer (starting Fall 2023 or later), 12+ credits per term at Flagstaff or a statewide campus; online excluded. Fall and spring entry may qualify.
- Arizona resident with household AGI and FAFSA SAI each $65,000 or less OR member of one of Arizona’s 22 federally recognized tribes regardless of income or state residency. Tribal membership documentation may be required.
Requirements
- Complete admission, FAFSA using NAU001082 and requested verification. Annual April 1 FAFSA target published; confirm the applicable date for spring entry and renewal. No universal term cutoff assigned.
- Maintain full-time eligible-campus enrollment and campus aid/academic requirements for remaining eligibility; confirm annual renewal terms with OSFA.
- A2E combines merit/federal/state/institutional aid to cover tuition; not an extra cash award beyond the tuition gap. Dedicated current page excludes mandatory/program fees, housing, food, books, winter and summer.
- NAU Indigenous aid page says tuition and fees, while dedicated A2E page explicitly excludes fees. Use tuition-only planning and confirm any additional tribal fee support with OSFA rather than assuming it.
How to Apply
- 1Apply to NAU and complete FAFSA/verification; provide tribal ID/CIB if using the tribal pathway.
- 2Ask OSFA to confirm your eligible entry term, combined tuition package and any separately covered fees.
