My Missouri "MyMO" Scholarship Promise

The My Missouri MyMO Scholarship Promise is a multi-year college-readiness and scholarship program for Pell-eligible Missouri high school freshmen. Selected students complete annual academic, attendance, college-planning, and program-participation benchmarks while earning scholarship dollars that can total up to $10,000 for attendance at an eligible Missouri college or technical school.

Eligibility

  • Be a Pell-eligible Missouri student.
  • For the Class of 2029 cycle, be a Missouri high school freshman attending a public, charter, or private high school or be homeschooled while residing in Missouri.
  • Have a verified permanent Missouri address.
  • Have a valid Social Security number or other qualifying taxpayer identification.
  • Meet the applicable Student Aid Index requirement using the Federal Student Aid Estimator.
  • Open a MOST 529 account using the applicable promotional code and contribute at least $1, or already have an established MOST account.
  • Ultimately attend an eligible nonprofit Missouri public or private two-year or four-year college, university, or nonprofit technical college.
  • Complete annual MyMO academic, attendance, college-readiness, and program-participation benchmarks.

Requirements

  • Complete the MyMO application.
  • Complete the Federal Student Aid Estimator and provide evidence of qualifying financial need.
  • Provide proof of a MOST 529 account and required contribution.
  • Meet annual GPA and attendance benchmarks.
  • Participate in required MyMO events or meetings.
  • Complete required college-readiness benchmarks during grades 10 through 12.
  • Complete the FAFSA during senior year.

How to Apply

  1. 1Complete the Federal Student Aid Estimator with the student's family.
  2. 2Open or verify a qualifying MOST 529 account.
  3. 3Complete the MyMO application during the freshman-year application window.
  4. 4If selected, complete the required benchmarks during each year of high school.
  5. 5Complete senior-year FAFSA and college admission requirements.
  6. 6Attend an eligible Missouri institution after graduation to use earned scholarship funds.
