Eligibility

  • Be a Montana student or a student enrolled in a Montana educational institution.
  • Be a U.S. citizen or legal resident.
  • Seek certification or specialized training in a trade or skill leading to employment in forest products, forest management, logging, transportation, or an associated support industry.
  • Eligible training may include welding, metal fabrication, boiler operator licensing, diesel mechanics, commercial driver licensing, equipment operation, electrical technology, or related fields.

Requirements

  • Complete the MWPA Foundation Trades Scholarship application.
  • Submit an academic or training transcript when applicable.
  • Provide information about the certification, training, or educational program.
  • Explain how the training connects to employment in forest products, forest management, logging, or an associated industry.
