Eligibility
- Be a Montana certified operator or be seeking to enter the wastewater operator profession.
- Request scholarship support at least one month before attending the proposed continuing education, training event, or certification course.
- Complete the entire Operator Scholarship application.
- Preference is given to Montana Water Environment Association and Montana Section AWWA members.
Requirements
- Complete the MWEA Operator Scholarship application.
- Answer the two required essay questions in approximately 150–300 words each.
- Identify the proposed continuing education, training event, or certification course.
- After attendance, submit a signed continuing-education-credit form or certification-course transcript.
- Provide proof of attendance before reimbursement is issued.
How to Apply
- 1Identify an eligible wastewater continuing-education, training, or certification opportunity.
- 2Apply for the scholarship at least one month before attending.
- 3Complete the full application and both 150–300-word responses.
- 4Attend the approved training or certification program.
- 5Submit the required signed CEC form or course transcript to MWEA.
- 6Receive reimbursement of approved costs up to $500 after proof of attendance is accepted.
